I have purchased a rose tip anemone that acclimated well to my tank. One week later I purchased a Golden Stripped Maroon Clown fish that took less than 3 minutes to bury itself in the anemone. It wont feed or leave the anemone. Is this normal? Should I still feed the anemone krill with a feeding tube.

You could try target feeding the anemone, but only small amounts. I have never heard of a Maroon clownfish starving because it will not come out of its anemone. If the fish appears healthy and nothing is going on with parameters being out of wack I would just give it time.

Thanks I fed the anemone some krill and the clown was none the worse. I heard so much about how difficult it is to acclimate a clown to a Rose it seemed odd. Thanks again I am sure it is probably travel stress.

I feed all my mems only once a week a small chunk of shrimp or squid, most of the time the clowns will try to steal it. If you dont feed the mem it will still survive if you have sufficient lighting. Some reefers never feed their mems.
