Im considering trying MH lighting over the T5s that Ive been using for the past 3 yrs. How does this set up sound?
Galaxy Ballasts, 250W radium bulbs, lumen max elite reflectors. I want a slightly blue light. It will be over a 90g tank. I appreciate your feedback.

It sounds real good to me, I just went with the same combo except that I went with a Lumen Bright (mini wide pendant). Produces a nice white/blue combo, and my SPS and other corals have shown great color improvement since switching.

Don'tknow very much about the exact set-up. K temp is what? Bluer light would be from 12000K and up. I use 14000K and I like this blue but wouldn't go up to 20000K. Also, consider that going from T5 to MH can change the profile of coral you can keep. For e.g. I had a big nice forest of Anthelias(xenias) and lost them all changing to MH, even trying to reduce light exposure. However, I've been able to introduce Montis...
Good luck

sounds good to me. I've got 2 250's and 4 65 actinics over a 75. also, with going to a bluer bulb the PAR drops so you would be less likely to burn stuff out. that is, going with a 20k vice 14k bulbs. you're definately on the right track using high quality reflectors, I think you'll be happy
