This tank started off as a seahorse tank 2 years ago. Since, it has become my lil reef. Over the years it went threw changes, but now I have it just the way I like it. I have never once run a skimmer on it. I have 1 target goby in there for fish. I have 1 k nano, and a canister filter for filtration. I do nothing but top off, and 5% wc weekly to biweekly. I add 2 part to keep levels in check. It it lit by a 24" tek 4 bulb. Bulbs are in order ati blue+,fiji purple, blue +, and uvl super actinic. Color is sick, and so is the growth I have been starting to get. Light is maybe 1.5 months old on my tank or less. Had a cheap 150w halide before, then a cheap 4 bulb t5 fixture. This Tek smokes them. I run it 6 hours a day. It is a kiss tank. Very little maintenance.

Few of these I just picked up from the Madison swap. Really excited to sit back and watch it all grow now. Lots of little frags. Any comments welcome. Also, have 10 or so more tanks to get some pics of. Enjoy.

It is a pretty heavily stocked tank with pods and other critters. I use cyclopeeze, oyster eggs, fresh hatched bring soaked in algae paste and selcon. He loves to eat the brine. Thanks for the comments all. Will post a few before pictures as well. It is my chalice, zoa tank with a few little other goodies in it.

As another 30 gallon cube owner with mandarins, your tank looks great.

Tank is looking great. It should look really good once all the frags have grown out

Thanks all. It has been growing nicely. For the sand, I am not sure. Tank came with it when it use to have the horses in it. Will try to get some coral close ups and better pics.

Are you still dosing vodka? Great tank by the way.

I am very interested to see how it will look once it has grown out. Please keep us updated with pics.

I have never dosed vodka. I dose kalk with a 1 gallon jug with a drip line once a week, but nothing else except 5 gallon water changes once a week to keep all levels stable.

Will do Lurking. I will look for pictures from a few months ago to already show the changes. Them little chalices are pricey lol. Worth the wait to grow them all out.

This is a picture from about 6 months ago when just setting up for reef.

This is the tank about 3 months ago before the rescaping. All the other coral was moved into other reef tanks and are doing great.

Nice looking tank. You got me feeling like I have too much flow in my tank now. I have the same tank and have a K2 and a Tunze 6025.

What happened to the RBTA?

For flow in my tank I have one Tunze 6025 and the return from my HOB filter ~ 300gph. Seems to be plenty.

We have a few rbta's in different tanks. I just use my canister return and a nano korolia. Seems to do the trick. We also have 2 50 rimless, 30 breeder,55 seahorse,26 bow macro misc, 55 frogspawn/softy,4 gal pugnose pipe fish, 10 gal dwarf seahorse,10 gal harlequin shrimp tank, 20 long chalice mix, and the cube. I think that is all. So the corals always have a place to go during tank changing time.
