Look up HLLE disease on google and check out the pics and see if your blue tang looks the same.

If possible take a pic.

Improve your water quality and feed a good diet is a start. There are some different opinions on what causes HLLE. Stray voltage is one and carbon is another. I have been using carbon for 6 years with no HLLE "knock on wood"....

BUT a picture would be a BIG help....

Could be other things also.

Are you using carbon? If so, that is probably the cause.

Well its not HLLE...

Some kind of parasite??? Any other fish in the tank? How are they?

Based on your description and the rapid time frame of death my guess would be velvet.....

Without a picture, it's hard to guess...how is your water quality? I think HLLE is primarily caused by poor water, and with the flesh peeling away, it leaves the fish in a bad spot, essentially opening the door for a follow on fungal or bacterial infection.
