I have an empty JBJ 12 Gal and was cleaning it out tonight and noticed that the back compartment isn't sealed completely. Along the bottom water is able to slowly move in. Is this a problem that should be fixed before setting it up? The sides appear to have a better bead of silicone but I cant be sure as I haven't filled it completely yet.

dont think that should be a problem because all of the water is going to be circulated throughout the tank anyways

Thanks,
I'm running mine as is. I don't want to mess with any silicone right now. Plus the leaks are pretty small and the majority of the water should travel through the rear chambers correctly.

It really isn't going to be that big of a deal. Once you put sand down it will restrict most of that "leakage"

Well turns out I am going to have to seal it anyways. I must have made the seal worse while I was removing a baffle in the back because after a day of running with sand, I have sand accumulating in the back compartment around my maxi-jet.
How long do I need to let the silicone cure before?
