I was hoping to save money on my new build by buying dry sand and just seeding it with a bit of live sand. I'm looking for about 80 LBS. That said, I was pricing out sand at my LFS, and it would be $80 worth of sand. Seems expensive to me.
Being that my LFS's don't have my preferred grain size, I'll most likely have to order it anyways. Am I missing some cheap dry sand resource? Or should I expect to spend that? I'd be tempted to go all live sand at that price.
