Can someone explain to me why every so often my protein skimmer decides to just go nuts and start over flowing. I have it in a baffled sump so the water level is always constant. My chemistry is very consistant. I thought the psk2500 was supposed to be a good pump. This is getting very frustrating.

Is the airline getting clogged or kinked? If still using the stock line, replace with some tubing from Home Depot. Much sturdier. Is this linked to a suppliment addition?

Never had my 200 overflow once on it's own.

mine never overflows either. something must be getting stuck in the V-valve on your skimmer.

Also make sure when your dialing it in to watch the water level and make sure its stationary. sometimes i've seen mine start to creep up and i would need to adjust it. It takes some time to adjust it where you want.

It probably does it almost once a week now. I have replaced the original tubing. It worked great for almost a year, and now nothing but problems.

+1 on the above this always happens when I adjust to skim to wet.
