Sorry I dont know which is better, but I think you will find most don't use any treatment to their water. Just ro/di and a good salt mix.

Do you know if there is chloramine in it?

Prime and Amquel are about the same product.

They are good for emergencies but should not be relied on to account for poor husbandry practices. :)
