that is classically snail eggs. Either get something to eat them, or get ready for some snails.

I need to use my mag flip though and if i move it around i think they will fall off and i want them to hatch, if they fall of will they still hatch?

If desperate to clean them up, get some crackers, cheese, and a caviar knife. Kidding of course.

Its cool to see things spawn in a tank.. even if just snails.

if you scrape them off, I do not think they will hatch.

How long does it take for them to hatch?

Mine have never hatched. Probably get eaten.

I'm not sure if they hatched or not, but a cluster of eggs like that on my glass used to take about a week before they were completely gone. Cerith & nassarius.

FWIW.

dirtydeeds, was this on the sand bottom?

If it was on the sand, it was just sand. You likely have worms of some-kind that "attach" the sand to itself with mucus secretions. If it is on the glass, I guess it could be snail eggs, but usually the patter pictured here is classic configuration for how they lay them. Maybe it could be a "clump" of oyster, clam, or muscle eggs/babies?

My cerith laid eggs before. Looked just like that. They hatched but all the baby snails got eaten. I bought one Nassarius when I started my tank and it laid eggs too. They on the other hand survived. When I feed my sand comes alive with all the baby Nassarius snails come crawling out of it. I counted 50 one night.

Cerith eggs and btw nassarius eggs look like feathers on the glass, kool pattern nice to have spawing events in your tank, some of mine have lived and havn't had to add snails in years. If they do survive your animals you will usually find them in your overflow or sump.
