Weird Growth

Anybody have any idea what is sticking up from my Zoas?

If so, is it something I should try and remove?

caulerpa root

Looks like a common type of white sponge (though caulerpa root looks pretty similar). IF it 'grew' from there, it would be the sponge and shouldn't be anything to worry about, but a few of those filamentous sponges can get out of hand.
