So i have my new tank running a "supreme classic" 2400gph general purpose mag drive pump. I have 1" pvc running as follows.

pump-thread/slip coupler, staright pipe vertical, slip union, straight pipe, 45, straight pipe, T, straight pipe, 45, and vertical up to tank.

I insulated between pump and glass with rubber. The pump is still very loud.

I was wondering if i substituted rubber flex hose with hose barbs at the pump to the first 45 or union if it would reduce the vibration and quiet it down some? Or is this pump just generall noisy and i have to insulate and deal with it? Any help is appreciated

You could ask in the equipment forum, but putting some hoses between the pump and any other piping might help. It does with some pumps. Hard to say; I'm not familiar with that model.
