I walked across my living room today, and the wire to my control my Apex was hanging. When I touched it, to move it I got a shock, and my display went out, and came back on about 1-2 sec later. It wasnt my imagination, because someone else had seen it. It doesnt look like any damage to the unit, but anything I can do to stop it?

Thanks Derek

When I was in the Navy, I was taught that one should always ground himself before touching delicate electronics. Personally, I believe that the absolute best way to discharge a build-up of static electricity is to touch the nose of a cat.:lol2::p

Personally, I like animals but I find it a great way to get even with the kids :)

Ar better still, give the honey a big kiss :love1:, then she will know you can still light up her life!

But on a serious note; more humidity in the house helps.

LOL.. I love animals too - we have 5 cats, a dog, snake, etc. I hope no one took offense at my joke. Ken, I was thinking of the "electrifying kiss" too!

I live on the edge of high desert in SoCal, and humidity is often in the low single digits... static can definitely be a problem - and we've fried more than one piece of electronics as a result.
