Hey guys I bought some new live rock recently and some hitchhikers have been popping out of the holes on one of the rocks. It is some sort of invertebrate but i don't know exactly what it is and would like to know if it could harm my tank. It has a stalk similar to a feather duster but instead of the feathers it has tentacles similar to a condy anemone. It is white or peachish. Thanks!

how big is it and does the head/tentacles stay out for a while or go in and out.?

How large? Too small for a pic? The description can sound like a million of things or a few seperate things you're seeing. My guess is you might be seeing mini starfish, which is common.

I'm guessing Aiptasia or Chaetopterid/Spionid.

Yeah it sounds like an aptasia, but you should try to get a picture.

That description is pretty general. It could be phyllochaetopterus.
