Ok. So my father in law built us an awesome stand for our new 150g cube. It has a canopy for the lighting system. We painted it a brown that we use in other areas in our house. We are in the process of finishing ( by we I mean my husband :) and he is thinking about painting the underneath ( part that goes to the water) white. If you sit on our couch after the tank is done you will see some of that exposed wood around the lights. Is it better to have that lighter or should that be brown as well?

Rust-Oleum white epoxy appliance paint, from Home Depot. An improvement over the brown. Stugray has a couple pics up showing it in his canopy.
