Tech M = Bleaching Zoanthids?

I just started dosing Tech-M to help eradicate my bryopsis and hair algae problems. I've been increasing the magnesium by about 50-60ppm per day. I was wondering if this could be the cause of my zoanthids to be bleaching?

I started dosing Tech-M and my two part at about the same time.

Has anyone experienced bleaching of their zoanthids from tech-m? All my SPS, LPS, and mushrooms seem to be doing fine.

How many ppm have you increased your mag level total?

I've increased it by about 400.

1050ppm to 1450ppm.

I have read a few posts with negative effects by zoanthids when their mag. level was increased around 400 ppm. Hardly a scientific approach to the problem but since their are heavy metals in the mag. mixes it is possible that these heavy metals are causing problems. :(

okay, I guess I'll quit dosing for the time being.

A little bit of the hair algae is already starting to wither away. Hopefully it'll be gone before my zoanthid are.
