what vortechs or tunze would you buy for a 75 g? I currently have K3 and K4 but would like to phase them out. Would two mp20's do the job?

I ran a Vortech40 suplimented with (2) Tunze 6055's on my first 90
The second time around(now), I run (3) 6055's on a 7096 controller

I guess if I wasn't happy, I would have bought the Vortech again:bum:

i think two mp10s will suffice with the return pump if you have a ssump btu hey, you can never really get too much flow. two mp20s sound great.

I use two Tunze 6055s on my 75 but my return pump is a Mag 18.

MP10's are not designed for the glass thickness of a stock 75g. MP20's (2) or a couple of 6055's on a 7095 controller. Depends on how much cash you want to drop. Finding used controllable 6055's is like winning the lotto compared to finding used Vortechs.

I personally think you would do fine with a single mp40.

Everybody sells Vortechs - Nobody sells Tunze. Most Vortech classifieds start with "Newly replaced wetside" or "Just back from warranty repair." Just my $0.02, but not sure what the deal is, removing something from my tank to send in for warranty repair is a real PITA.

Personally, I think two small Tunze's, would be a nice fit, perhaps non-controllable 6065's or controllable 6105's.

A single MP40 on a mode other than constant stream will be enough in addition to the return pump. Since they're maximum output is 3,200 gph, you would be in the neighborhood of 43 times the turnover of the tank with just one mp40. This should be sufficient in keeping any corals you choose.

I recently replaced 2 modded maxi-1200's and 2 modded tunze 6025's with a single MP40W. I will be getting another, but not until my tank grows in. I have more than enough flow with one vortech. im running 100% on reefcrest..
