View Full Version : whats the best way to grow corals?

Trying to see more growth out of my zoanthids and clams everything is good water ph 8.2, calcium 420, ammonia 0, what can i add to make them happier i guess to grow?

If youve done enough research to know youre tank perameters are definitly spot on, Then the only thing you can add is a big dose of patience :)

Yeah good water and patience are truly the best additives.

Zoas respond to the 5 to 10 ppm nitrate and good lighting and some current.

If you keep your water changes going and some feeding of your fish zoas are pretty much an autopilot growing machine. Some varieties can grow very fast.

Some folks dose extra iodine and more stront and vitimin C and such, but it's really not required and can actually lead to algae and other troubles if you get heavy handed with the dosing.
