I got a frag about 3 weeks ago, just wondering what their care would be, lighting and flow. Some pic's would be nice too. Thanks in advance.

You probably should have did some research before you bought the frag.
Heres some information on it (http://lmgtfy.com/?q=Acropora+Pinguis)

Sorry, I thought this was a forum where it was ok to ask questions.

Yeah, and those links that come up are super helpful

The image search is interesting though. Is it really just a branchless giant mound of a coral?

Thanks SDguy, Those pics don't look anything like it. I'll try to get some of what I have.

Looks like the link between an encrusting montipora and an acropora.

It kinda looked like stag in the guy's tank I got it from. Was probably 8 inches tall with a few branches.

It was a freebie.

Darren, being as how you've been here for 16 months, and have accrued a whoppin' total of 31 posts, I'll try to forgive your rudeness. While it's true that we should always research, before making a purchase, all of us, at one time or another, have failed to do this. Your addition of a "helpful" link...NOT...just tops it off :thumbdown

To the OP, it seems there's not a lot of information about Acropora Pinguis, though I did find pictures of it, such as this. http://www.ultimatereef.net/iddb/acroporidae.php

I would imagine, like other encrusting or "massing" Acropora, it will probably need quite a bit of chaotic flow.

I have JEN Veron's Coral of the World. I'll see if I can find anything in there.
