I'm planning a tank upgrade (from a 90gallons to a 6foot 125).

I want to buy a skimmer that will basically meet anything i want to do so assume heavily stocked in the future. I was looking at purchasing a Bubble king mini 200, a mini 180, or the alpha cone skimmer (probably a 200).

I kind of have my heart set on the mini 200, but was curious as to everyone opinions (I kind of want to stick with Royal Exclusiv, maybe I'm just a fanboy).

Thanks!

Mini 180 should be plenty. Also the Alpha200 is way to big. You would want the 170.

I have a alpha200 on a system with about 200-220gallons after you figure in rock and sand displacement and its to much. Should went with the 170 so your system should be fine with a 170. Plus the 170 has a cool adjustable volute on it now.

Okay if i go the alpha cone route, i will get a 170. Would the mini 200 be way to big for a 125?

Thanks for the quick replies!
