What size fuge do you have on your 30gal

Have a 30gal tank (36") and was wondering the smallest size fuge I could place on this with macro that would be beneifical? Thanks

I know I go against common grain by saying this, but I would do any tank without a fuge AT LEAST 50% of the DT.

Just wondered if I converted a HOB filter into one if that would be worth anything using macro alage. Plus help my tank at all in the future.

I have 25G of water in my fuge for my 36" 30G tank. My fuge is set higher than the DT and gravity flows back into the tank,

Before I set the fuge up, I had Chaeto growing in the DT.

IMHO, a converted HOB would be better than nothing, but bigger is better.

What if I put cheato in the HOB wouldn't that atleast do something?

Nah no pics yet. Adding a gl*******s.com drilled overflow and then a 10g sump. I have the baffles made but not glued in yet.

If you want an HOB refugium why not look at the ones put out by CPR?

To help us help you, what do you want your fuge to do for you? Are you looking for nutrient control, or is it to grow food?

I've got a 10 gallon fuge under my 20 gallon reef.

I don't have a pic, but here's the sketchup that I did when designing my setup. The fuge is in the unfinished portion of my basement and there's a door between the 2 sections.

Well the tank is only acouple months old. I would like to setup the fuge with what I have,HOB,13wattPC hood. main reason is for extra nutrients to be removed. No corals will be in the tank,Just nems,clowns,cleanup crew,maybe some sexy shrimp or pom pom crab in the future. I would love to get a CPR in the future. Lack of room is why I also need a HOB fuge.
