I have a stupid question, at one point i knew the answer, but in my old age, i seem to have forgotten the answer.

I am looking to trap some micro bubbles in my sump. The higher the micron size of the filter sock, the smaller the particles it traps?

Would a 100 micron filter sock remove micro bubbles?

No and yes.

The lower the mesh rating of the sock ( usually measured in microns, short for micrometers, or 10 ^-6 .. 0.000001 meters ) the smaller the particles it will trap.

Smaller numbers means less gets through, bigger numbers means more.

1) The higher the micron size the larger the holes. (100 vs 200 micron socks)
2) Yes it will remove micro bubbles, but will need to be cleaned more often.

Will works great as a bubble trap. Keep plenty on hand so you can change every 3 to 4 days so you don't create a detritus trap.
