Pods from Fuge to DT

Hello,

My fuge is coming along very well and I'm starting to see little bugs, pods? running around on the sand. I'm just wondering how people get the little buggers from the fuge to the display tank? My fuge is a wonderfully disgusting swamp, and display is crystal clear, so I don't really want to mix scoops of sand from the fuge with the stuff in display....

Also, I have a lot of brown algea growing on the glass in the fuge... is that a bad thing?

As long as your refugium is plumbed to your tank they'll find a way into the display as well.

I wouldn't worry about the brown algae in the 'fuge, over time the macro algae will likely take over and you'll probably see less of it. The important part is that the algae is not growing in the display.

ive got some rubble in my fuge...ill take a pice out and place in the dt

Just dont have a sponge over the intake of your return pump.
