I am getting ready to purchase a new tank and all of the sites lack one thing, feedback from people who use them. I am interested in the Red Sea Max 130d, the Bio Cube 29 (not sure to go HQI or just standard), the Solana 34 (again not sure if HQI or t5) and ive looked at the Elos but i would want the LED light and i dont want to spend the extra cash, the other three are about the same price. Any pros or cons on these tanks would be awsome. I will obviously mod it out but again, which one will be the hardest to mod, and what are the problems with each. Planning on LPS and a few small fish. Thanks

well..... I like all the tanks you listed , except the bio-cube. Many will disagree but I actually like the JBJ all in ones. If your budget is big enough the Solana is great! heard nothing but good about them , I just got a JBJ CF-Quad. It has 105wat CFL lighting so I wont need a chiller , the HQI nano cubes are great also BUT you will need the chiller. I paid only 299.00 for the tank and stand from Dr,fosters , shipping was just 8.95! most bang for the buck IMO. I also like cadlights , but the shipping is over 100.00! I hope this helper a little , Try searching the name of the tank " JBJ CF-Quad(or any other) reviews" this helped me to find some reviews , but like you said its frustrating there are not MORE reviews. Good luck with your search
P.S. I never "mod" a plug-n-play , they are built so you dont have to mod it. If you want to Mod one , just get a tank and build it. JMO :)

i would go with a red sea max, when it comes to aio, they really thought of everything for that tank. and i personally love the look of it.

The Solana is by far one of the best looking tanks I have ever laid eyes on. That is why I bought mine. Curved front glass tanks like the Aquapod (I had 2) and the Biocube (I have one) are a PITA to clean the glass after a while.

if not the elos then i would go with the solana. much better looking than the plastic hood all in one tanks imo. i agree it's annoying to clean the curved glass.

you should check out the CAD Lights 50G Artisan series, its got 3 sided Starfire glass,
16G FULL REFUGIUM sump with a REAL skimmer like a Bubble-Magus. i heard the new 50G systems can hold a larger NAC-6 160G skimmer too. for about $1000 bucks i think you get the most with a CAD system compared to the rest.

I have a Bio 29 and enjoy it very much. You can see in my thread on my sig. Never used the others tanks. I would get the HQI thought but they did not make them when I bought mine. The HQI are new. More options with lights and a fuge.

The biocube has a list of things that go wrong with it. With the lights and ballast at the top. Ive sold a many of these and theres literally always something wrong, But you cant get close to the price with any other setup.

I have a Solana and love it! havent had any problems except for the skimmer not being the best. I went with a 150 ab fixture and its sexy. something about the rimless and
the pendant light just works

I would PERSONALLY put biocube 3rd
Red Sea 2nd
Solana 1rst
Which also happens to be how there priced haha. You get what you payed for :)
