I want to dose Kalk, or limewater to raise my PH. I am going to use 1 tsp per gallon of water and slowly drip it. As I understand the PH of kalk is 12.
The question is, do people have PH problems that constantly drip kalk to keep their calcium up. In my case, I figured once I get my PH to 8.2 I should be able to keep it stable with 2 part.

Thanks

Marty

pH is driven by the alkalinity and the CVo23 levels in the water, which in turn are often driven by the Co2 levels in your home air.

If you start with low pH, folks rarely find that limewater drives the ph too high, but monitor both it and alkalinity to know that you are dosing an appropriate amount (not calcium, which moves much more slowly than alkalinity and pH).

Does that answer the question?

Yes. Thanks for the articles, I will reread the lime article. I will read the low PH one. . The service you perform on the site is remarkable. Thank you

You're welcome.

Good luck!

By the way, CVo23 is a typo, it should obviously be CO2. :)

LMAO. Thanks for the correction. I am ok in chem. Didn't know what CV023 was. I thought it was just my ignorance.
I dont have to understand the process, just follow it.
Thanks
