I am purchasing a 48x24x31 tank and am new to the hobby. This is a 150 gallon tank and I will be purchasing an Eco-system refugium 3612 (or 3616) series with a G3 skimmer. I have no earthly clue how to plumb this thing up for proper water flow. The aquarist that I am purchasing this from set it up for "closed loop" circulation as well. I have attached the pictures for review but wanted some advice as to pump recommendations to allow for proper water movement. I will be supporting corals of all types and colors as well as fish.

What will I need to make this baby rock?

The closed loop will need to run on a dedicated pump of it's own .Usually an external pump . The sump will need another pump for the return. If a bulkhead is on the sump then you either use another external pump or cap it off and ues an internal pump like a Eheim 1262 .

But what rate in GPS do I need for the sump and for the closed loop? What is the general rule of thumb for pump sizing?
