Is it using an LPS or soft coral, as a host? Look up "Hyper Melanization of clownfish" and see if this matches what you're seeing.

thank you for the reply, they are Not Hosting anything, i just recently bought the fish and qt'd when i got it, it showed a few signs of maybe itch? and then it just went away, a few days later the splotches showed up, they kind of look like hemorrhages. But i did find a lot of other info while looking up "Hyper Melanization of clownfish"
but ill continue searching!

Honestly- when they lose scales or get injured along their white stripes, it will look funny for a while until the full color is able to return. Thing of it like you getting a scratch, and it healing and scabbing and the skin underneath is lighter than the rest of your skin for a while because it's new skin! Same way with the clowns.

How is your water quality? I don't know much about lifeguard, but I do know many medications deplete the oxygen in the tank.
