I have a question.
I was wondering if you have two clownfish that seem to be the same size does that mean both are female and they will never be a pair. Second can a false percula and a black percula pair.
I have had them for about 3 to 4 years and now the black one is the same size as the false percula. So do I need to get another one of each to try to pair.

Is it a blk percula(true or onyx) or blk occelaris? Occelaris clowns don't have the big size difference that you see with others size wise.

If they have been separate for 3 to 4 years, then yes they are female.I would get new mates for them as small as possible.

Go to the LFS and buy 1 black ocellaris and 1 orange ocellaris. Make sure they are about 1/2"-1" and put the orange ocellaris with your other orange ocellaris (your "false percula") and put the black ocellaris in with your other black ocellaris and they should pair within a few months, but they will most likely fight for a bit.

I have had the two of them in the same tank for 4 years. If I seperate them now neither one will die will they. They are always swimming in the corner together at night.
