Is there any way to get a more powerful magnet for the MP10? I have a new tank that is right at 3/8" and the magnet will stick, but when the pump slows down it stalls out. I would really like to keep my mp10 and add another. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Dustin

A more powerful magnet won't solve this. It sounds like something else is wrong. Are you getting a blinked red error when it "stalls out?"

I believe so... I'm not near it right nowo to say for sure. The magnet iss very easy to knock off though because of the thickness. It's not as sturdy as my MP40 is on the same tank. I've not had this issue with it running on my solana, only when I move it to this aquarium which has the thicker glass.

like I stated earlier as well, when running at constant speed as long as it is a higher speed but once you go below halfway it stalls and restarts but only on the thicker glass tank

Dustin-

It's a false disconnect error. Check out our FAQ section on the website for blinking red light, we explain there how to solve this.

What about the connection being very loose? I feel if I just barely bump it, it will knock it off. Thanks

This is just the way the MP10 is at 3/8". I recommend you use the wire tie mount per the instructions to ensure the pump doesn't go anywhere.

Ok, so if it sticks at all, it should work at all speeds? Just want to make sure if I purchase another, I'm not wasting my money. Thanks

Yes, the pump has been extensively tested and will run properly on 3/8" tanks. It won't grip as tight but it's fine and doesn't fall off on it's own.

The speeds the pumps run at have nothing to do with how tight it holds on, in your case there was another reason why the pump was stalling.

Alright, thanks for the help!
