How to post tank description

I tried to post my current tank description by going to User CP, additional info, current tank description and filling in the info there. I posted a thread and don't see the info. Am I posting in the wrong place?

Post the info in your signature

To see the 'current tank info', click your username then choose 'About Me'. To see it in the thread, add it to your signature as Octoshark suggested.
