storm season is right around the corner for me and I need a backup for while im at work the tank to maintain power for the main pump.

Does anyone have simple DYI build for this application?

To run an AC motor, it is not a simple DIY build, and considering you need a true sine wave inverter, it is rather costly. There are also, many things that need to be considered when running battery banks, for backup, that will run the motor for a significant amount of time. Information is available if you research Solar Power, but I think the best bet is to buy an auto start generator, that will kick on when the power goes out. Just keep fuel in it, keep the maintenance up on it, and test it regularly. The bonus is, you would be able to run the refrigerator too.
