Parameters and Diatoms

I got a test kit finally and its been about 2 weeks.
Ammonia is 0
Nitrite is 0
Nitrate is like 75 ish (on my kit it looked between 60 and 80).
PH was around 8.2-8.4

I'm pretty sure the Nitrate is really high because I heard they are all supposed to be 0.

we do have a CUC (4 days) and a fish (2 days) in there and they are all doing fine so far. I know it's early for those though.

What should I do to get the nitrate down? Water changes?
