I have some Matrix Seachem carbon in one of their pails, its probably about 10yrs old. The pail has a very tight seal, i just opened it yesterday and it all looks good. Should I use or toss?

I don't believe carbon goes bad until it is exhausted from use.

I know some cat boxes have passive carbon filters in the roof, either its a gimmick or it works. This bucket has been sealed air tight all this time.
