I bought a portable GFCI outlet at Lowes. It works well and my friend has been using the same model for a number of years. It just plugs into a regular outlet.

There are several different styles of GFCI that just plug into your outlet. I use them all the time and they work great! However, replacing you wall receptacle with a GFCI is much cheaper and not the slightest bit difficult.

I know, for me this is a quick fix until I can spend some time working on the hole set up.
