Skimmer for 100?

I have a 120 gallon tank. I need to get myself a skimmer but my budget is really tight right now.

Are there an skimmers (in sump skimmer) that would be around 100 dollars?

Eshopps makes good skimmers IMO.
Check classifieds and selling forums. Even ask LFS if they have any used for sale.

Not necessarily an in-sump skimmer, though it could be hung on the sump, sometimes, you can find a Remora Pro on eBay for around a hundred bucks. This one simply needs a pump, and you can usually find a Maxi-Jet cheap somewhere:

For a 125 gallong tank unless you find a good used deal you'd be better off just doing water changes and any filter you have until you can save up a little more. For reef tanks I say never skimp on lights or skimmers.

Sadly, for $100 you can't purchase a skimmer that will rock your system. Can it do a decent job? Yes, arguably. From personal experience, my advice is always purchase the most efficient you can afford.

A skimmer is possibly the best piece you can add. After you factor the cost of your livestock, it makes sense to invest on a quality skimmer.

My recommended skimmer would be the Octopus super cone 5000. You will not need to upgrade... ever....

If you are still set on your budget, look into the BM NAC6 or something like that. The NAC7 version is a bit more around the $200 mark, but it will do a decent job on your 120.

Make sure the pumps are 115v. (For US outlets)
