I will set up my sump now for my 12g tank, and I have purchased the Tunze 9002, heard people seems to like it

+1 on the tunze, i run skimmerless on my sps 14g but i do 50% WC a week. when i was looking for a skimmer though the tunze was one of my top prospective buys

I used to have a sapphire for my nanocube, but since it stopped producing foam i ditched it and bought a tunze 9002. The tunze produces more foam than the sapphire even when the air valve (tuner thing) is almost fully closed. I like it a lot.

50 percent? Seems like a lot.

you could do 100% if you wanted if the perams matched. Water is water, your biofilter is the rock

So a 50 percent water change is better than a 20 percent weekly? I understand the idea behind it since it's a nano but it seems like it would be a waste in a larger aquarium without a skimmer.

I would never do anymore than a 25% in a tank. To much stress. But that's just me. I run a euro reef rs80 on my 34 gallon. A little overkill but my sps do great.

With a 14 gallon nano, a Tunze 9002 DOC is more than enough. I have the WM H1 and it would be a waste on a 14 gallon.

Tunze is good but since it's only 14 gal I would just do frequent water changes

+1 on the Tunze however water changes would do you right as well... Esp with a 14g.
