3/7/10 - Added two clowns to 75 gallon DT after drip acclimating. These are the first fish after CUC had been in for a couple months and about 5 months after tank had been setup. (I took things a little slow) They were active, exploring and eating the same night. Within a few days I noticed the larger of the two breathing some what rapid that raised a flag in my mind but also thought it could still be adjusting. No fin clamping, coloration is fine, eating, no other indication of anything I could see. The second clown looked great and did throughout this entire ordeal. The clown I had been concerned about had over the next few days continued to slowly worsen, was not as aggressive in eating, rapid breathing, less active, stayed in a certain area close to the bottom, white stringy feces hanging from the fish. I'm also noticing a swollen gut which seemed more on the left side. I have already started up a 10 gallon QT tank and had the sponge filter for the QT HOB in my sump for a few days prior to the move to the QT.

3/14/10 - Both clowns were now in the QT. QT had been started with DT tank water, ready made batch water, a little Prime and away we go. I'm thinking internal parasite. I treated with Prazipro added to tank water, soaked in food, and fed different foods including Jungle anti-parasite. I'm still concerned about the swelling more on one side.

This is getting long so I'll try and shorten it. The sick clown came around in the QT after 1st week of treatment. Eating fine, heavy breathing stopped, he became very active again. I continued treatment and they remained in the QT until the night of 3/31/10.

A couple hours ago today 4/2/10 I get home and check the DT tank. The same clown now looks as if he about to burst out the left side.

I am clueless at this point. QT is broken down and cleaned.

Any ideas on what this is? It looks a lot worse in person then in the pictures.

Thank you,
Joe
