Tunze is quieter by far, partly becuase it sits inside the tank. I had both, but replaced the Tunze with the Aeroforce and get much better skimmate. My Tunze seemed awfully temperamental about water levels.

Thanks! I've had the aeroforce for about 3 days now and its just starting to kick in. The noise is def. not quiet but bearable in my bedroom. I sleep fine lol.

I have a 9002 on my 28 nano, it is very quiet. The water level in the sump section it sits in is constant, so I have not had any issues with it as described above. It wrks best 1/2" higher than the water level indicator on the skimmer. Tunze considers the water mark the deepest the skimmer should be set, 1/2" higher seems to be the sweet spot.
