just hunting for cure, vodka seems to work w other algae's, agree not a nitrate problem, if anything lack of nitrate has been suggested for dino outbreaks

Phosphate reduction, which is more critical IMO than nitrate reduction anyhow.

Or to accommodate a heavy feeding load.

Everyone who doses vodka should hit 0 nitrates/phosphates at some point, but if they stop dosing vodka and continue their normal feeding patters, both nitrate and phosphate will likely rise again.

what would happen if I dosed 3 drops per day in my 100g system??? Would there be some detrimental effect by not increasing the dose to the maintenance level??

Most likely nothing.
