40 breeder 20 sump full stocked sps

And is it ok to drip in the sump or do you have to do it in the tank. It all new to me doing it it this way. I don't want to kiil everything.

Dripping or adding in the sump is safer IMO.

Some sps keepers like their alk at 7 dkh. I like it a little higher at about 9 but the choice is yours.

What alk buffer are you using ?

Why don't you just use good old fashioned Arm & Hammer baking soda ?

Much cheaper on the pocketbook and does the same thing. :)

Hard to say. You want to keep an eye on pH. You should not affect a pH rise of more than .2 units at on time.

Do you have an electronic pH monitor or are you using a titration type test kit for ph ?

As much as I like API's pH kit, It cannot detect the limits we need to watch for.

I would slowly ramp it up but be careful and watch for unhappy customers.
