I am in the process of setting up a 40 breeder. I have the glass-holes kit on the way, and plan to take something to a local acrylic guy to see what he can do for me as far as a sump is concerned.

I want to go there with a visual to hand him but I don't really have any applications on my computer to do such a "design". I guess I could do something in PS but I don't feel like I could do a good enough job.

I'm looking for a basic blue print for a 20 gallon sump. I'm looking for an area for the overflow that has space for filter floss or socks and carbon (both for when I need it) and possibly a HOB skimmer, fuge, bubble trap, and an area for the return pump.

I'm not asking anyone to make this for me but if you can provide something from a past or current setup/design, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thank you.

I have a sump from my old tank thats about that size

Your in NJ, i was going to throw it out, but you can have it if you want to pick it up. Saves you alot of $$. its in good shape just needs a real good fish poop cleaning.

it has the return << fuge << hob skimmer configuration.

let me know if you want it. if not feel free to use the pics for a design.

Try melev's reef. He has a bunch of sump designs that he has made over the years shown on his site. It won't be blue prints, but you can get the idea of what you want yours to look like from there.

Thanks everyone for the tips.

Definitely going to get that sump! Saves me money and time. I'll be in contact some time this week.
