I am new to the saltwater tanks but I am going to start a 72 gallon bowfront tank/ 30 gallon sump and I was woundering if I could use this set up for the plumbing and sump. I have to drill the holes myself so I want to know if this would work before i drill. I am going to use the Durso standpipe for the drainage to the sump with 1" pipes. I will have e few control valves to set the rate of water flowing through pipes. On the sump I am not really sure how long the glass should be for the bubble trap but I will have the protein skimmer to the left and live rock to the right with return pump in middle. I will have the return pipes go to both corners of tank and turn them both into powerheads. The return pipes will have control valves to. I am looking for some input or modifications to this plan this is just a rough draft. i also had a couple questions...... any sugestions on protein skimmers and what size pump I will need to return water back to tank?
