I am growing Caulerpa in my Miracle Mud refugium and twice now they have grown wild then stopped growing and some died (leaves turn white). The rfugium is lit 24/7. Is this what people say about Caulerpa going asexual? I have two types, grape and racemora.

Any better macro algae out there as nutrient exporter?

I've found C. racemosa to be very prone to going sexual {white}. This article by Randy Holmes-Farley ties the 'going sexual' event to a lack of Iron.

The best macroalgae that I've found for export is Chaetomorpha , also commonly called the 'Spaghetti' or 'Brillo Pad' algae.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the 6 pack Macro Algae from Indo Pacific Farms in Hawaii and I plan to replace my Caulerpa with them.
