i am setting up my 55g and trying to decide on what clown pair i should put in it.
i already have a pair of b&w clowns in my 10g nano
and a pair of false perculas.

i was thinking of a pair of maroon clowns with gold stripes or pink skunks.
any ideas??:smurf:

If your not trying to waste alot of money on a pair of clowns i would get a nice pair of true percula clownfish

Any clown species would be suitable for a tank that size. I take by your post that you'd like to try a different complex. Marroons are quite aggressive. Not only to their tank mates but also with potential mates. If you want to go with marroons, get the largest and smallest ones you can find or else find a mated pair. A 6" female and a 1.5" male would be ideal. If they are close in size they are likely to fight to the death competing for dominance. Just bare in mind that they are not likely to take kindly to other fish you add to the tank.

Of the skunk complex, I think you have mentioned one of the prettiest and best natured of that complex.

Clarkii complex and Tomato complex also have a lot of variety to offer.

They are not very docile but they are compared to marroons.
