i jus got my retrun pump for my 40g breeder... the outlet is 12/16mm... 1/2 inch according to the metric conversion chart...
my pump is a eheim 1250... 380 gph, obviously im not goin to get alot of turnover through my sump and refugium with bout 4 feet of head loss... but i should get a strong 5xtimes wchih is what im goin for...
i need to order 2 bulkheads... one drain and one return... when i buy them, is the size of the bulkhead the size of the pipe that fits into it? or the size of the drilled hole it fits in?
i'm assuming its the piping it fits, but i could be wrong, please help...
and if my return is 1/2 inch, at 380 gph max, how big will my drain need to be?? 1 inch???
