reintroduction of my powder brown

i have a 5in p. brown tang and a 5in regal/hippo that werent getting along after the regal was added to the tank. i was told to take the pb tang out so that he loses his territory and readd him to the tank later on...


my question is....

how long is later on? he has been in my 40g frag tank for about a month maybe a lil longer....think it would be ok to readd him to my reef today?

does takin a fish out of its home and readding it later on really work?

If this is for your 90, I don't think they will all of a sudden start getting along. I have a feeling that if you put it back in the existing tang is going to be fairly aggressive with it.

X2 Powder Browns are aggressive toward other tangs or any fish of similar shape. Maybe you could try hanging a mirror to thwart some aggression but I doubt it will work with the temptation of the hippo tang.

Nothing really to add...the hippo is too big a fish for a 90 and def not a good idea to add the powder brown to a 90 with an established tang already in there.
