That ballast is an ANSI S55 150-watt High Pressure Sodium (HPS) ballast. It will not operate any metal halide lamp. An ANSI S56 150-watt HPS ballast however would work with metal halide lamps but this ballast is not common in North America. The ANSI S55 is designed for low operating voltage (55 Volt) standard North American 150-watt HPS lamps only.
