Does anyone know if you can drill a 46 gallon bowfront (is it tempered)?

I drilled the back of mine...Not sure about the bottom...Mine is made by Aqueon I believe...

Check with the manufacturer. Bottoms of most tanks are tempered, but backs are not always. Being a 48 gallon i would be very careful to ensure that it is not tempered on the back. Otherwise you will find out when it explodes. ;)

My 72 oceanic has a tempered bottom. Drilled the back with no issue. You can oceanic - their customer service was fairly good (took a few days though).

You can also check to see if it is tempered using a polarized lens. I don't know the details so you will have to google it.
