I've got a lot of detritus. I use a turkey baster to blow off the rock, and then during a water change, I try to suck up as much as I can. The problem, however, is when I go to pour water back into the tank, tons is stirred up into the water column and eventually falls back down, all over the rock and bottom of the tank.
I was wondering if it might be beneficial to get a small hang on canister or other similar filter to let run for a few hours while the detritus is still all stirred up. As anyone had any success is doing something like this?
