My local fish shop brought in a dwarf lionfish that looked very much like a volitans...or at least much more like a volitans than the dwarf lionfish I am used to seeing. Most dwarf lionfish I've seen are these "fuzzy" lionfish....they really look quite different than the volitans and I've never really been a big fan. But this other species of dwarf was pretty nice looking. I searched around you tube and this video shows a specimen which I am pretty sure is the same as the one I saw at the shop. Can anyone I.D. this? The guys at my shop just called it a dwarf lionfish and couldn't give me a species name....
