View Full Version : Timing and sequencing of bacterially driven systems Q's

Specifically I want to address the issue of carbon dosing and bacteria dosing, can these be done simultaneously? Of course carbon dosing may be done more frequently than bacterial dosing, but on that one day of the week when you perhaps do both, how far apart should they be added? and in what sequence, or does it matter?

What about bacteria or carbon dosing during amino acid dosing, feeding, etc.?

Anybody have any thoughts, experiences, advice?

You should check out SunnyX's thread in the SPS Keepers forum. It's quite long but he's been very successful with carbon/bacteria dosing. The information on his thread should answer most of your questions.

I was trying to look for that one actually, and that one where Mesocosm was chiming in a whole bunch. I should have subscribed to those the first time I came upon them, I didn't know I was going to lean toward full bac conversion at the time! lol

If anybody has a link would be much appreciated. I do not remember which forum either of those threads were under. I was scouring reef chemistry forums earlier.
